Course overview

The World Health Organization estimates that by 2050, nearly 2.5 billion people worldwide –one in four – will experience hearing loss, a trend driven by an ageing population and increasing global awareness around hearing health. As a result, clinical audiologists – experts in the non-medical management of hearing disorders – are in critical demand. The Master of Clinical Audiology – developed with major hearing partners to ensure it meets industry standards and job market needs – will position you for sought-after roles in the field. In fact, many graduates secure employment before completing their degree, with opportunities in paediatric audiology, cochlear implants, private practice, hospitals and balance assessment clinics, in Australia and overseas. The degree will connect you with active researchers and clinicians, facilitate extensive clinical experiences, and provide access to the latest diagnostic and rehabilitative technology – all within our global centre for hearing-related research. This immersive environment, home to the Australian Hearing Hub and Cochlear’s headquarters, is your gateway to a world-leading community that’s transforming hearing and communication.
