The Master of Cultural Heritage and Museum Studies allows you to specialise in the areas you want to take your career into. You will develop the knowledge, research skills and practical experience to make a difference in the way we engage with our past.
Postgraduate and higher courses usually use academic prerequisites, degree equivalence and English-language requirements.
Postgraduate entry
1 year full time (or part time equivalent) – 8 credit points:
completion of a bachelor degree in a related discipline and at least two years of relevant work experience (or part time equivalent)
completion of a bachelor honours degree in a related discipline
completion of a graduate certificate or graduate diploma or higher in a related discipline
1.5 years full time (or part time equivalent) 12 credit points:
completion of a bachelor degree in a related discipline
completion of a bachelor degree or higher in any discipline and at least two years of relevant work experience (or part time equivalent)
English requirement
IELTS 6.5, no band below 6TOEFL iBT 79, no band below 20PTE Academic 58-64, no band below 50Cambridge C1 Advanced / C2 Proficiency 176-184, no band below 169
If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package. When the student successfully completes the approved pathway at the required level, the university may accept that pathway for English entry without requiring a new IELTS, TOEFL or PTE result. Always confirm exclusions for professional registration courses and the offer conditions.
