As an early childhood teacher, you will support young learners and their families as advocates, enablers, custodians and thinkers; global citizens in yet-to-be-imagined futures. On completing this diploma, you will become an innovative and attuned professional teacher with the knowledge, skills and experience to work in private enterprise, government agencies and community-based early childhood education settings locally and globally. At the end of your studies, you'll be qualified to teach in early childhood setting in Victoria and hold transferrable skills to work here. Should you be interested in teaching outside of Victoria or overseas, registration will be subject to the criteria of the relevant state or overseas accrediting authorities. You are encouraged to contact the relevant authority to determine if this qualification will allow you to teach in their jurisdiction.
Postgraduate and higher courses usually use academic prerequisites, degree equivalence and English-language requirements.
You must have successfully completed an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent overseas qualification) in any discipline.
If your current English result is below direct entry, consider the university-recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package; successful completion at the required level can usually satisfy English entry without another English test.
