Bachelor Honours Degrees prepare students to develop advanced knowledge and skills for professional work, research and further learning corresponding to AQF level 8 qualifications. This course educates students in conceptual and theoretical aspects of academic practice. It also provides them with research methodologies appropriate to their honours project and the practical experience of applying concepts to investigation through the production of a dissertation or creative project and exegesis.

Admission to honours is by invitation and follows high achievement in an appropriate bachelor degree.
Any specific course entry and completion criteria must also be met.
Other criteria: A bachelor degree in one of the Humanities honours majors, with a course weighted average of 65 or higher.
All applicants must submit a two-page research proposal outlining the intended focus of the honours project or dissertation and demonstrating the capacity to undertake research at an honours level.
If your current English result is below direct entry, consider the university-recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package; successful completion at the required level can usually satisfy English entry without another English test.
