Course overview
The Bachelor of Business (Marketing) provides you with the skills to engage and influence customers, develop brand loyalty programs and execute strategic campaigns. A marketing degree delivers key information on how to enhance core business knowledge with marketing practices, using an eye for industry trends, responsibilities, needs and opportunities. You'll graduate job-ready with a strong body of business knowledge and marketing ability.
This degree builds a strong understanding of business principles while you learn marketing theories, practice and the role that marketing plays in the success of contemporary organisations. This degree has been developed in consultation with the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) to ensure you're taught the most relevant and up-to-date information. This course also involves industry work placement where you will gain hands-on experience that complements your theoretical knowledge.

Note: This course is also available at our Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney campuses. Flexible study options are available including On-campus, Online or a Hybrid of both.
Areas of Study: Business communications, marketing fundamentals, marketing strategy, B2B marketing, consumer behaviour, integrated marketing communications, digital marketing communications, marketing and audience research. Students can also choose electives in the areas of business and corporations law, introduction to entrepreneurship, sales and negotiation strategies and, venture ideation.
Career Opportunities: Marketing coordinator, assistant product manager, sales manager, social media specialist.
Practical experience: An important element of this course is the placement of the students with an endorsed host organisation(s). Work placements provide a valuable resource for you to develop hands-on practical experience to ensure you graduate confident and job-ready. A key task will be the completion of a reflective journal covering the experience and the identification and analysis of key learning outcomes. Work placement hours: 300 hours.

Standard entry
- Recent secondary Qualify for the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) or equivalent recent year 12 qualification (including the International Baccalaureate Diploma). Higher Ed Completed or partially completed a recognised higher education program at a recognised higher education institution, or Completed a University Foundation Studies, Bridging or Enabling program Work-Life Other Completed a non-recent SACE or equivalent secondary education qualification with a competitive selection rank, including the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB), or STAT multiple choice test (optional), or Personal competencies and/or employment experience (optional) If you have studied at higher education level in the last two years, you must not have accumulated more than a total of two full-time years of higher education study in order to use your STAT/PCA/Employment results. If you have been employed in the Australian Defence Force you may be eligible to apply for an undergraduate course on the basis of your service. See here .
