Course overview

The Diploma in Science and Technology is a two-year program providing a pathway into Built Environment; Construction Management and Economics, Engineering, Environmental Science, Geospatial Science, Information Technology, Science or Software Engineering degrees with UniSA. Students are taught on campus by University staff and have access to the full range of support services that UniSA provides, as well as additional support from specialist staff at UniSA College. Upon successful completion of the Diploma, students are guaranteed entry into their selected UniSA degree and seamlessly transition into second year.

Standard entry

  • Recent secondary Qualify for the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) or equivalent recent year 12 qualification (including the International Baccalaureate Diploma), and achieve a competitive selection rank. Selection by Grades: Applicants who have not achieved the Selection Rank required for automatic selection into their preferred program may be selected for any remaining places based on their year 12 subject grades. Work-Life Other Completed a non-recent SACE or equivalent secondary education qualification with a competitive selection rank, including the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB), or Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) VET Completed an award from a registered training organisation at Certificate III or Certificate IV level only If you have completed a Diploma level course or higher, or if you have studied at higher education level for more than two years you are not eligible to apply for this course.

If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package.
