Course overview
This combined degree allows students to complete qualifications in Business and International Relations and Political Science with a combined study plan to reduce the overall duration of the degree. The Bachelor of Business provides you with the opportunity to develop broad knowledge and competencies to facilitate careers in business-related fields. The Bachelor of International Relations and Political Science aims to provide you with a comprehensive grounding in the core political science disciplines of international relations, politics and public policy and an understanding of Australia's political system and its place within the regional and global context.
Bachelor of Business
The Bachelor of Business provides students with the fundamental knowledge, contemporary case studies, workplace skills development and live industry experience to pursue a career in business. Combine practical learning based on solving real-world business problems with the skills to analyse and understand key issues that businesses deal with every day. There is a focus on application of knowledge to diverse and global business and organisational contexts including systems and processes, planning, production, operations and the use of current and emerging data and analytical practices.
On completion of this degree students will be able to critically apply broad theoretical and technical accounting, finance, economic, marketing, human resources management and management knowledge and skills to inform business planning and strategy. Analyse business practices and decisions using theoretical and technical knowledge of regulatory, governance, compliance and legal requirements and apply theoretical knowledge, technical competencies, and critical judgement to provide solutions to routine business problems.
This degree prepares graduates to work throughout the world with a range of opportunities continually expanding including senior positions in both the public and private sector. Potential occupations may include client service executive, human resource associate and marketing manager; potential employers may include private sector businesses, government agencies and not-for-profit organisations.
Bachelor of International Relations and Political Science
The Bachelor of International Relations and Political Science is a degree for students with an interest in political and social questions that arise where they live and overseas. Students will study with SA's largest group of international relations and political science experts. They will have the opportunity to experience unique internship opportunities with the US Congress (Washington) and Consulate (Melbourne), and gain access to South Australian Parliamentary internships and other internship opportunities in the public and private sectors.
Graduates will have skills which are in high demand across many sectors. Today's employers are seeking graduates who can lead, analyse and pre-empt movements within the political arena. As well as specific skills, students will develop enhanced general skills relevant to many jobs. Our graduates are employed in areas including international government and non-government organisations, diplomacy, foreign affairs, social analysis, journalism, research, management, the parliamentary sector, defence, intelligence, foreign aid, humanitarian services, politics, education, language services and media.
City Campus
Flinders City Campus offers a broad range of study areas and is designed for collaborative learning, interactive teaching and industry engagement. Positioned adjacent to the Adelaide Railway Station on North Terrace and central to trams and buses, the City Campus provides students with greater connection, convenience and accessibility.

Switch between domestic ATAR data and international qualification equivalents.
IB Diploma

If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package. When the student successfully completes the approved pathway at the required level, the university may accept that pathway for English entry without requiring a new IELTS, TOEFL or PTE result.
