Course overview

The Bachelor of Film and Television (Screen Industries) is a comprehensive and flexible program designed for you to gain practical, cutting-edge skills and knowledge to make it in the dynamic film and television industries. It is taught by passionate teachers, research experts and filmmakers who are actively involved in the industry.

Gain knowledge of major screen industries, film history and media theories, and work on student-led productions, develop technical skills and become part of the Flinders creative community. This degree provides experience in working collaboratively, as part of an interdisciplinary creative team. Students will explore different areas of creative arts practice and develop fundamental skills in film and television production.

Your career

Graduates will have real-world experience that will help them gain employment in the film and television industries. Potential occupations may include television producer, scriptwriter and television critic/reviewer; potential employers may include screen production companies, media and news organisations.
