Course overview
Gain a sound understanding of both the arts and the sciences. The Bachelor of Arts and Science provides the broadest range of disciplinary and interdisciplinary studies from across the University, with majors available from creative arts, humanities, law, science, mathematics, computer science, physics and social and behavioural sciences. The Computer Science major of this degree is accredited by the Australian Computer Society at the professional level, while the Physics major of this degree is accredited by the Australian Institute of Physics.
This degree provides in-depth knowledge in an area of the arts and sciences, allowing students to gain a body of knowledge across a range of disciplines. Students will have the ability to analyse, synthesise and communicate knowledge in two very different areas of study with an appreciation of the relationships and connections between different arts and science disciplines and understand such relationships and connections in respect of the disciplines they have studied.
Your career
On completion of the degree students will be familiar with theories, factual content and research procedures in their major fields of study and be able to analyse and critically evaluate ideas and solve problems.
This degree prepares graduates for employment in a wide range of employers in the arts and science industries. Potential occupations may include policy project officer, scientific officer and community education officer.

If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package. When the student successfully completes the approved pathway at the required level, the university may accept that pathway for English entry without requiring a new IELTS, TOEFL or PTE result.
