Course overview

The Graduate Certificate of Health Services Management is designed to extend knowledge gained through your undergraduate health studies. This course will prepare you for management within the healthcare sector, by developing your understanding of:
  • the impact of technological innovation in healthcare management and service delivery
  • managing human and financial resources
  • planning for change in different contexts

You will explore delivery processes, critical reflection on own decision-making processes, and the effects of policy and politics on health care provision and access.

It is expected that you will already be employed or have recent management experience within the health sector. As part of this course, you will undertake assessments which have direct applications to your professional practice and context.

On completion of this course, you may progress to the master’s qualification specific to your discipline, with advanced standing for completed studies.
