Course overview
The Undergraduate Certificate Introduction to Arts, Social Sciences and Languages is a 6-month course that offers you the opportunity to upskill or reskill and retrain. Available 100% online or on campus, the course equips you with a solid grounding in key discipline areas of the arts. It is also a direct pathway into related higher education courses, should you wish to continue studying.
During this course, you will begin to explore elementary concepts in the arts and social sciences, which will provide you with insight into academic work in these fields and a grounding for more advanced studies. This course will support your learning needs and develop your study skills.
On completing the Undergraduate Certificate Introduction to Arts, Social Sciences and Languages, you will be eligible to use the credit you've gained towards further study in a:

Should you continue your studies with a Diploma of Arts or Bachelor of Arts at CDU, all credits for an Undergraduate Certificate Introduction to Arts, Social Sciences and Languages will be transferred.

Standard entry
- Recent secondary Qualify for the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE), Northern Territory Certificate of Education (NTCE) or equivalent recent year 12 qualification (including the International Baccalaureate Diploma). Higher Ed Completed or partially completed a recognised higher education program at a recognised higher education institution, or Completed a University Foundation Studies, Bridging or Enabling program Work-Life Other Completed a non-recent SACE/NTCE or equivalent secondary education qualification, including the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB), or STAT multiple choice test Personal competencies and/or employment experience (optional) If you have been employed in the Australian Defence Force you may be eligible to apply for an undergraduate course on the basis of your service. If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package. When the student successfully completes the approved pathway at the required level, the university may accept that pathway for English entry without requiring a new IELTS, TOEFL or PTE result. Always confirm exclusions for professional registration courses and the offer conditions.
