Course overview

In the Bachelor of Social Science, students develop the skills and knowledge to pursue a variety of careers that tackle major social issues such as climate change, poverty, inequality and injustice. Teachings draw from sociology and policy studies through to geography, critical Indigenous studies, political science, international relations and anthropology. Practical workforce skills include public policy design and evaluation, social impact assessment, public advocacy, social planning and research. Specialise in a particular area of interest and gain hands-on experience in the field by undertaking a supervised, yearlong research project.
