Course overview
This course develops students as counsellors by exploring counselling theories and skills and reflecting critically on the nature of humanity, its problems and mechanisms of change. Students are equipped to contribute in meaningful and constructive ways to the wellbeing of individuals, families and the wider community. The course includes studies in Christian worldview, human behaviour and counselling, with substantial practical experience. Students are equipped for a career as a professional counsellor in contexts including government departments, community agencies, parachurch and church-based counselling services, and private practice.
