Diploma of Computing

Ride the cutting edge of computer science with the Diploma of Computing at the Australian National University, approaching the field from both a technical, constructive angle, and a critical thinking and information management angle. Take a wide approach to computing to include the creative and conceptual dynamics of the field, starting by applying scripting to the application area of new media rather than from learning traditional general-purpose programming languages applied to algorithms. You will develop the technical knowledge and practical skills needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital world, while building strong foundations in computational thinking, problem-solving, and programming. As an ANU Pathway Diploma, the Diploma of Computing will also help you build a strong foundation of academic skills and critical thinking capability, ready to take on the challenge of further tertiary study. If you complete the Diploma with a sufficient GPA, you will be guaranteed admission to the Bachelor of Computing with one year (48 units) of credit.
