International ākonga/Ākonga of non-English speaking backgrounds Minimum entry criteria for International Ākonga as set out in policy AP512 English Language requirements for ākonga of non-English speaking backgrounds in programmes, is: Overall band score (Academic) of 6.0 IELTS, with no less than 5.5 in any band.
