Course overview
Study in one of Australia's fastest growing industries and begin to explore some of the big issues in IT, including hacking, privacy and security. The Diploma of Information Technology provides a broad introduction to computing, after which you will progress to a more specialised area during your degree.
Specialist areas include infrastructure technology, planning and management of technology lifecycles, development of applications, systems, web multimedia resources, installation and administration of networks and information security.
Once you complete the Diploma, you will be eligible for second year entry into the Bachelor of Information Technology or the Bachelor of Cybersecurity. You'll study five core subjects and select three electives.
