Course overview

The Bachelor of Music offers a rich range of experiences, career outcomes and graduate pathways. Students benefit from a globally recognised qualification that can be tailored to meet interests, skills and needs.

Developing technically advanced and experienced musicians an immersive, practical curriculum is offered with core subjects, music electives and breadth subjects, allowing students who commence in the mid-year intake to choose from performance, musicology and ethnomusicology or music studies. Some specialisations include weekly individual instrumental practical tuition, vocal or composition lessons, instrument classes, extensive solo and ensemble performance opportunities, and regular master classes with distinguished artists and teachers.

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English as an Additional Language or at least 25 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

As for Year 12 or subject equivalents.
