Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) (Honours)

As a mechanical engineering student you'll develop skills required to plan, design, develop & improve machinery used in everyday life. Mechanical engineers design, analyse & improve product as diverse as refrigerators, washing machines, vehicles, solar water heaters, pumps, engines, compressors, wind turbines & air-conditioning systems. You can specialise in automotive engineering, computer-aided engineering & design, computational fluid dynamics, energy conservation & renewable energy, engineering project management, intelligent manufacturing, dynamics & control. You’ll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in our well-equipped laboratories, undertake project work & work experience in industry & the chance to participate in projects such as the Formula SAE racing car teams or work on projects with community partners.
