Course overview

Many engineers are fascinated by scientific investigation, eager to enhance their understanding of the pure sciences. Many scientists also wish to see their theories applied towards new technologies. If either of these describe you, then this double degree is ideal. You will have a choice of nine engineering specialisations (Aerospace, Chemical, Civil, Electrical and Computer Systems, Environmental, Materials, Mechanical, Robotics and Mechatronics, Software) and over twenty areas of science. The various combinations offer diversity, flexibility and numerous career choices. Combine environmental engineering with atmospheric science, ecology and conservation biology, genetics, plant sciences or statistics. Augment your aerospace degree with physics or astrophysics, mechanical engineering with applied mathematics, or civil engineering with geosciences. The result is an educational experience tailored to meet your interests and aspirations.
