Course overview
Why study fine art at Monash? At Monash, we teach fine art differently. You’ll be encouraged to experiment across a range of mediums such as painting, photography, drawing, printmaking, glass, sculpture, jewellery, and digital fabrication. Throughout your study, we’ll challenge you to think about your ideas across different creative platforms and mediums to refine your personal methodology and approach to creating and making art to help you cultivate and develop your creative voice. With purpose-built facilities and dedicated fine art studios and workshops, we connect you with the resources, professional practice, expert industry knowledge, and a dynamic artist community to ensure you are set up for success after you graduate. Absorbed in the making, exploration, conceptualisation and analysis of contemporary art for the duration of your degree, you’ll graduate with a critically-informed studio practice, a unique body of work, and the confidence and knowledge needed to succeed as a professional artist
