La Trobe's Diploma of Information Technology is designed to be a supported pathway into your dream IT degree or set you up to enter the industry in an entry level role. Depending on the subjects you've studied, you could graduate from the Diploma of Information Technology with up to one year's worth of course credit, so you can transfer directly into the second year of your chosen IT degree.

SEAS (Special Entry Access Scheme)

Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT)

You may satisfy the academic requirements by completing the STAT multiple choice if you:

  • are not currently studying an Australian Year 12 (or equivalent)
  • have no prior secondary school (Year 12), Vocational Education and Training (VET) studies, Higher Education (HE) studies or relevant work experience that can be considered for entry,
  • do not meet the minimum academic requirements for the program.
