Course overview

Our Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours) teaches you the foundations of dental science and gives you hands-on experience in clinical placements across Victoria, so you'll be ready for a successful career in dentistry.

You'll work to improve oral health through prevention, education and clinical care at Australia's largest rural health school and get hands-on with treating patients under the supervision of experienced clinicians. In Year 4 and 5, you will complete a community-based group project developing solutions for public health problems or an independent research project under the supervision of experienced researchers.

To be eligible to apply for Regional Entry, you must reside (according to principal home address) in areas classified by the Australian Statistical Geographic Standard - Remoteness Areas (ASGS-RA) (2021) as RA2 to RA5.
