Course overview

The Bachelor of Entertainment Management (BEM) is for anyone with a passion for the inner workings of the music and entertainment industry. You will gain behind the scenes knowledge from industry experts in areas including artist management, music publishing, festival and tour management, promotions and publicity and entertainment law. You even undertake two internships that will help you put the theory you learn into practice and equip you with skills, professionalism and a thorough understanding of the music and entertainment industry to hit the ground running when you graduate.

The BEM also allows you to collaborate with artists from other AIM courses and tap into a wide range of genres, styles and sounds to diversify your knowledge of music. Standard entry

  • Applicants under 21 (including current Year 12s) Applicants under the age of 21 must provide evidence of at least one of the following: An ATAR of 65.00 or higher or equivalent OR satisfactory completion of HSC (Higher School Certificate) including a minimum of English Standard in the last 2 years. Note that any result below a Band 3 in English Standard may require further assessment satisfactory completion of IB (International Baccalaureate) Diploma qualification in the past 2 years satisfactory completion of an AQF VET qualification (Certificate IV and above, or equivalent as assessed by DET) satisfactory completion of at least 6 months full-time tertiary study (AQF level 5 or higher) AND a digital portfolio outlining relevant business and/or entertainment and/or music experience that will support your application. Applicants with work and life experience Applicants who are 21 years of age or older at the time of application are entitled to mature-age consideration. Mature-age applicants may obtain entry by performing to a satisfactory level in an audition and/or digital portfolio and/or interview. For applicants who do not meet the above criteria, admission may be granted by the Director of Academic Affairs or nominee based on a documented assessment of the applicant's overall ability to undertake the program of study and to achieve the course learning outcomes.
