Audio Engineering and Sound Production is a hands-on production- based course that is directly in sync with the audio industry.

In line with our commitment to helping you curate your sound, your course and your future, after studying a base of core audio and sound fundamentals in trimester 1, you will then have the choice to specialise in one of four elective streams; live events, electronic music production, sound and media or studio recording and mixing enabling you to engage with the content and path that best suits and interests you.

We take Audio seriously at JMC, with our Sydney campus boasting some of the best recording studios in the southern hemisphere. Our studios are full of the best tech in the trade including high-end equipment and recording studios fitted with 5.1 surround sound and all the latest gear, including: Consoles: SSL Duality 48 Channel, Avid C24 control surface, Pro Tools HD with Avid HDX conversion Mics: Neumann U87, FET 47, U89, Royer 121, AKG C414 and many more Plugins: Full Universal Audio Plugin Suite, Waves Mercury Bundle Outboard: Avalon 2022, Universal Audio 2x610, Empirical Labs Distressors.

  • Applicants with recent secondary education Satisfactory completion of Year 12 or equivalent. No ATAR required. Minimum age 17.
