Course overview

This course will train you to become a composer with originality, heightened musical ability, and technical mastery. As digital media expands, so does the demand for talented composers in film, television, video games, and music. This specialisation helps you build a portfolio of work to land paid work and start your career as a composer.

You will gain a theoretical and practical understanding of composition for today’s major media and will start building your own portfolio of work from day one. You will collaborate with students from different disciplines including performance and creative technology to create original songs, arrangements, orchestrations, soundtracks, and multimedia installations.

The course can be completed in either two or three years of study.

Collaboration projects with AIM students from other disciplines give you practical experience in writing, arranging, recording and performing.
