Industrial designers apply collaborative methods in bringing together diverse stakeholder groups to develop successful strategies for making the world a better place. The program offers subjects in sustainable materials and manufacturing, work integrated learning, design thinking and drawing methods for creativity, design innovation, product design, human factors, design management, engineering documentation, graphic presentation, 3D CAD and virtual environments. This program can lead to multiple career outcomes, including product design innovation, packaging, physical and virtual 3D modelling, prototyping and 3D printing, industrial design engineering, design for sustainability, new product-oriented Start-Up Embedded applied design research methods, in cooperation with many community and industry in-course learning partnerships, are conducted in studio environments. This approach provides students with work-ready skills advantageous to employment opportunities in product, research, and service.
