Course overview

SAE has a range of approaches to learning and teaching that can be activated to provide flexibility in the face of changing circumstances as required, to support student progression regardless of external factors.

SAE Audio graduates have been involved with many outstanding production companies, studios, live venues and radio broadcasters, including Forester Savile, Count Bounce, Michael Stavrou, Labsonics, Post Studio, Black Pearl Studios, Sing Studios, Woodstock Studios, Prince of Wales Hotel, Revolver, J-Air Community Radio Station and Soundcorp.

The Diploma of Audio Production has been built in a way that gives you plenty of time with expert practitioners and many hours on the latest tools and software.

You will engage in collaborative learning and apply the skills learned throughout the course to a real-life scenario. Demonstrating your recording and mixing techniques you will deliver a practical recording from a specified brief, under the support and mentorship of our network of expert lecturers.

Practical experience

SAE offers hands on, practical and project based education – it’s what makes us unique. We recognised this back in 1976 and that’s why we pioneered our hands-on, industry focused, and personalised curriculum. You will truly sharpen your skills by doing, not watching. From day one, you’ll be in small classes, using the latest equipment. The more prac work the better – that’s our theory.
