Course overview

The Transdisciplinary School is Australia’s first dedicated hub for transdisciplinary education, research, and partnerships.

Our expertise is in addressing the most pressing issues of our time in creative, strategic, and sustainable way. We do this by activating collaborations between students, academics, and partners with diverse perspectives and wide-ranging experiences.

Transdisciplinary is: When great minds don’t think alike.

A new way of thinking and working

Addressing the world’s most urgent challenges – such as food security, education design, income disparity, housing, healthcare, and sustainability – demands new ways of thinking and working.

It is human nature to be drawn to those who think like us and navigate the world in similar ways. However, a transdisciplinary approach proactively encourages diversity and inclusion. Underpinning any transdisciplinary practice is a respect for difference in all forms. In transdisciplinary practice, we cultivate a flexible and adaptable mindset.

Transdisciplinary is: Extending beyond traditional academic and industry boundaries.
