Course overview

For those who have a passion for visual arts, drawing and storytelling, this course is the fastest route to creating animated work, inspired by powerful ideas that will speak to a global audience. Collaborating on a range of productions, you’ll learn how to develop your ideas through multiple stages, while focusing on character, development, narrative structure and performance. In our studio-based classes you'll work with your peers in a professional and collaborative atmosphere as you learn the 2D, 3D and hybrid animation skills that are necessary to bring your ideas to life. As a student you’ll have the opportunity to work with industry partners, such as ABC Podcasts, VIVID, and the Australia Piano Quartet. UTS also has long-standing relationships with Sydney's local studios such as Flying Bark Productions, Mighty Nice, Cheeky Little Media and Dave Enterprises.
