The Bachelor of Game Development – Major in Game Art is a specialist degree that targets the development of artistic, creative, cognitive and technical skills required by game artists. You will gain a deep critical understanding of digital game art and production through:

  • critical analysis of games and animations
  • creation of levels, avatars and animations in highly advanced game projects.

The Bachelor of Game Development program mirrors the practices, workflows and standards of the game development industry, ensuring you will graduate work ready. You will also learn fundamental business knowledge and skills tailored to the requirements of the game industry, preparing you to launch your own game products and operate a sustainable game studio.

Practical experience

Extensive studio work throughout the degree plus an opportunity to participate in the work-integrated learning (WIL) internship program in the final semester. This program provides students with opportunities to use their technical, artistic and creative skills and knowledge in a game studio workplace, developing games, simulations, gamified applications and advanced technologies for human–computer interaction.
