Pathway to a Business Degree at MQU, UTS, WSU, UOW or ICMS
Organisations around the world require people with broad business and management skills. The Diploma of Business allows you to study an innovative blend of business subjects, opening up a range of potential job opportunities.
The Diploma of Business equips you with the skills needed for a successful career in any sector of the diverse and dynamic business industry. You will gain an insight into key elements of managing people and organisations, marketing, communication and accounting, and deepen your knowledge of contemporary business practices.
The Diploma of Business offers you a stand-alone qualification through the Aspire Institute or, should you wish to further your studies, you could choose to use your diploma qualification as a pathway into the second year of a bachelor degree at Macquarie University (MQU), University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Western Sydney University (WSU), University of Wollongong (UOW) or the International College of Management, Sydney (ICMS).
Upon successful completion of the Diploma of Business you will receive advanced standing (credit) for subjects which are part of a bachelor business degree at MQU, UTS, WSU, UOW or ICMS.
All Aspire students are part of the ICMS student community, with classes offered at the Northern Beaches campus in Manly or the City campus subject to availability. Aspire students receive dedicated academic support, including study skills.

Apply technical business knowledge to a range of business contexts, appraise performance of self and others in business environments, describe solutions to routine business situations, develop basic academic and applied research skills in a business project brief, develop technical and theoretical business knowledge and concepts with some depth, explain the importance of ethical and sustainable business practices in a global context, identify appropriate sources of data for problem solving in a global business context, name specialist business technology, present project findings in both written and personal presentation forms to diverse audiences in business contexts, use business management principles and motivational factors to diverse individuals and teams.

- Applicants with recent secondary education Aspire Institute does not use selection ranks for admissions. Recommended studies: Completion of Australian Year 12 (or equivalent) International student applicants seeking entry into Aspire Institute Diploma courses are required to satisfy: - the academic entry requirements: Completion of Australian Year 12 (or equivalent). - the English language proficiency requirements where applicable: IELTS Overall 6.0
- Speaking 5.5 (or equivalent) Domestic undergraduate admission criteria. ATAR: ATAR is not a requirement. Applicants with higher education study Refer to the ICMS general admission criteria .
