Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy)

Occupational therapists work with people who have, or are at risk of having, permanent or temporary disruption to their participation in everyday life, their life roles, or daily activities. Occupational therapists use person, family and community centred approaches to help people enhance their health and quality of life by gaining new skills, changing the environment or modifying activities and life situations.

Occupational therapists work with people across the lifespan in disability, ageing, education and employment services in addition to services across the health care continuum. Occupational therapy studies involve biopsychosocial approaches to health, lifespan and community development, human anatomy, and development of occupational therapy professional competencies.
