Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Psychology

The Bachelor of Laws is built around real experience and genuine connection with industry. You’ll have opportunities to complete an internship for academic credit at a leading firm, including Allens, Ashurst, Clayton Utz or MinterEllison – a springboard many former students have leveraged to secure a permanent role – or gain client-facing experience at Wallumatta Legal, our not-for-profit family law firm dedicated to improving access to justice. You’ll be encouraged to further build your practical capabilities by working with our Social Justice and Strategic Litigation Clinics, and you’ll learn within a modern law precinct that facilitates collaboration with your peers and academics. In the Bachelor of Psychology, you’ll build foundational skills through a set of core units before broadening your knowledge via one of three interdisciplinary majors in cognitive science, counselling or psychological science. Many of your teachers are psychologists who actively practice or consult with major organisations, such as the Australian Defence Force and elite sporting clubs. Their deep research expertise in areas such as mental health, cognition, behaviour, human experience and challenges across the lifespan ensures your learning is tied to real-world insight. When followed by an honours year, this degree is a pathway to postgraduate study, which will enable you to become a qualified psychologist.
