Course overview
This program introduces students to some basic communication theory accompanied by the more practical orientation of Public Relations and Digital and Social Media subjects. Students learn from highly qualified lecturers who bring current industry knowledge; they complete authentic real-world assessments in many subjects. With close ties to the UTS School of Communication, this course provides a transition to the Bachelor of Communication degree. After successful completion of the Diploma, students receive 48 credit points which is equivalent to one year of the degree. A major can be selected from one of the following on offer at UTS: Digital and Social Media, Public Communication, Media Arts and Production, Journalism, Social and Political Sciences or Creative Writing.
