Course overview
The Diploma of Media and Communication will give you a broad understanding of media in Australia and potentially lead to a wide range of roles involving professional communication skills. Students who successfully complete the Diploma of Media and Communication will be eligible to enter the second year of the Bachelor of Communication degree at Western Sydney University, Sydney City campus.

Standard entry
- Completion of Year 12: ATARs are not used for admission to SIBT. Applicants must demonstrate successful completion of an Australian Year 12 or international equivalent. Assessment is based on a 50% average over all the units undertaken in Year 12. Students may wish to submit additional information as part of their application (eg statement of purpose and/or CV with supporting evidence). Also refer to SIBT general admission criteria.
