Course overview
In the Bachelor of Geographical and Spatial Science and Master of Environmental Science you'll develop advanced GIS and remote sensing skills to analyse spatial information developing data-driven interdisciplinary solutions to the world's greatest challenges. The course is structured as a four-year accelerated Combined Bachelor Master's program for those with an ATAR of 90 or above. By completing this Combined Bachelor and Master course, you will graduate with both a Bachelor of Geographical and Spatial Science and a Master of Environmental Science.
In your first three years you will complete the Geographical and Spatial Science (Extended Major) where you'll develop advanced skills in the use, manipulation, analysis and visualisation of spatial data. This will be achieved through a hands-on approach using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) remote sensing technologies, field-based data collection and laboratory-based analysis.
You'll then complete a final year of postgraduate study in the Master of Environmental Science. The master's component will focus on understanding the impact of human activity where you'll develop scientific, risk-based solutions to help secure a sustainable global environment. An interdisciplinary approach to problem solving will draw upon your understand of environmental processes and human-environment interactions to develop data driven results.
Why study this Combined Bachelor Master's course?
