Course overview
Environmental Science and Ecology (Extended Major)In the Bachelor of Environmental Science and Master of Environmental Science you'll gain advanced skills and knowledge in dealing with issues such as climate change, water resource management, sustainable natural resource use, and the rehabilitation of degraded or polluted environments to help secure a sustainable future. The course is structured as a four-year accelerated Combined Bachelor Master's program for those with an ATAR of 90 or above. By completing this course, you will graduate with both a Bachelor of Environmental Science and a Master of Environmental Science.
In your first three years you will complete your selected in Environmental Science and Ecology (Extended Major) or Environmental Science and Management (Extended Major) where you'll learn how to understand rational analysis, and improvement of human impacts on the natural world through a critical review of current knowledge, systematic observation, experimentation, modelling, and rigorous data analysis.
You will then complete a final year of postgraduate study in the Master of Environmental Science which focuses on understanding the impact of human activity where you will develop scientific, risk-based solutions to help secure a sustainable global environment.
