Psychology is a fascinating and diverse area of study that explores the human experience and touches upon many aspects of daily life. It seeks to answer questions about how and why we behave the way we do. The Bachelor of Psychology will help you develop a scientific understanding of human thoughts and behaviours, the processes underlying these and the relationship of these processes to the brain.

Juris DoctorThe Juris Doctor provides comprehensive training and a prestigious qualification for a successful career as a lawyer. The UWA Juris Doctor is Western Australia’s only postgraduate qualifying degree with which graduates can apply for admission as a lawyer with the Legal Practice Board of Western Australia. The qualification is also recognised in China, Malaysia and Singapore.

Majors
The Psychology (Extended Major) will help you develop a scientific understanding of human thoughts and behaviours, the psychological processes underlying these and the relationship of these processes to brain function. There's an emphasis on the measurement of psychological abilities, how these develop through the lifespan, and the processes that govern the relationships between people and groups in society. You'll also develop an understanding of how psychological processes are affected by ageing, brain damage and disease. Completion of this major will allow you to apply for further study in psychology, leading to professional accreditation as a psychologist.
Entry requirements
Switch between domestic ATAR data and international qualification equivalents.
IB Diploma
24-26Use the ATAR 70 band together with the relevant qualification and prerequisite requirements.
If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package. When the student successfully completes the approved pathway at the required level, the university may accept that pathway for English entry without requiring a new IELTS, TOEFL or PTE result.
