The Engineering program at UWA has been developed with industry to equip you with the skills to succeed in your future careers. The four year course is built upon three core principles: Relevance, Integration and Excellence. Engineering at UWA is relevant to the contemporary world of engineering, integrates knowledge, technical capability and practical skills to create exceptional graduates.
In this course, you’ll complement your course content with work integrated learning (450-hour practical), co-curricular activities (including engineering clubs such as UWA Young Engineers, UWA Motorsport and specialisation specific clubs) and professional skills development to become part of the community of UWA engineering graduates preferred by industry for your technical skills, professional integrity and ability to solve complex open-ended problems.

The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) prepares you to start working as an industry-ready engineer in just four years, and unlocks a wide range of career opportunities in engineering and non-engineering sectors in Australia and overseas.
Your employment opportunities will be varied with work available in the energy and resources industry, pharmaceutical manufacturing, construction, power and water utilities, renewable energy, management and consultancy firms, and electronics, finance and telecommunications industries.

Entry requirements
Switch between domestic ATAR data and international qualification equivalents.
IB Diploma
24-26Use the ATAR 70 band together with the relevant qualification and prerequisite requirements.
If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package. When the student successfully completes the approved pathway at the required level, the university may accept that pathway for English entry without requiring a new IELTS, TOEFL or PTE result. Always confirm exclusions for professional registration courses and the offer conditions.
