Course overview

Put your curiosity to work as you investigate crime from a scientific viewpoint. Our course is unique in WA as it focuses on biology and life sciences forensics as well as crime scene investigation and chemistry.

Industry terms such as forensic palynology (the use of pollen grains to connect a suspect to a crime scene), forensic anthropology (the identification of skeletal remains) and forensic entomology (the insects that decompose human remains) will become part of your professional vocabulary as you get hands-on training in these areas.

Standard entry

  • All applicants Admissions requirements can be found at the Forensic Biology and Toxicology page. Further information on Admissions pathways for Murdoch can be found in the Admission Pathways Applicants with Vocational Education and Training (VET) study Completed VET qualification of Certificate IV or above. Applicants with work and life experience STAT is accepted for entry. Elements considered: Written English and either Verbal or Quantitative. Mature Age Pathway - An interview and portfolio submission is available to applicants who do not meet Entry Requirements through previous study but who feel they have relevant work and life experience.
