Course overview

Our Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood and Primary Teaching is the only course in WA where you can graduate qualified to work with, and teach, children from birth to Year 6. You will study areas of the Primary curriculum including English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities and Social Sciences, Health and Physical Education and the Arts. You’ll also focus on early childhood learning and development to get a strong grounding in effective learning, teaching and assessment practices. At Murdoch, we recognise that learning through play is vital for inspiring creativity, fostering resilience and self-regulation, supporting educational outcomes, and nurturing a child’s identity and wellbeing. So you will also explore play-based learning.
