Course overview

The Bachelor of Global Security Degree offers areas of policing and security policy, and incorporates new and innovative approaches to understanding the nature and achievement of security, including such areas as human security. Drawing upon region-specific expertise of staff of the Politics Discipline, the content of the program, with its combination of theoretical and applied knowledge, is distinctive in the increasingly crowded field of security and terrorism studies. Combined with Criminology, you’ll have the option to specialise in Criminal Behaviour, Legal Studies, or Crime Science, the only course of its type in Australia. This unique combination will allow you to gain an understanding of the motivations and patterns of criminal behaviour in Australia, the science that helps solve major crime, and the justice system that governs the country.
