Course overview
In this course, you’ll explore aspects of crime and the causes, intervention and prevention of criminal behaviour from a social, psychological, biological and legal perspective. You’ll also critically examine punishment as a solution to crime in light of theories of criminal behaviour, and consider the role of treatment as a response to criminal behaviour, the importance of reintegration, and how anti-social behaviour might be prevented. You can combine this major with Crime Science or Legal Studies to add depth and breadth to your understanding of Criminology.
