Learn how to solve problems at the molecular level, with the most up-to-date knowledge and training in molecular genetics. You’ll gain the molecular biology skills you need to analyse molecular samples, and learn how to apply them across widespread fields including animal science, biomedical science, conservation biology, crop and pasture science, forensics, marine science and medicine.

Standard entry
- All applicants Admissions requirements can be found at the Genetics and Molecular Biology page. Further information on Admissions pathways for Murdoch can be found in the Admission Pathways Applicants with Vocational Education and Training (VET) study Completed VET qualification of Certificate IV or above. Applicants with work and life experience STAT is accepted for entry. Elements considered: Written English and either Verbal or Quantitative. Mature Age Pathway - An interview and portfolio submission is available to applicants who do not meet Entry Requirements through previous study but who feel they have relevant work and life experience.
If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package. When the student successfully completes the approved pathway at the required level, the university may accept that pathway for English entry without requiring a new IELTS, TOEFL or PTE result. Always confirm exclusions for professional registration courses and the offer conditions.
