Course overview
Through studying Community Development at Murdoch, you will learn how to make a difference working with schools, local councils, ecologists, Indigenous groups, social services organisations, resource companies, universities and other groups. You’ll develop the knowledge and practical skills you need to work in various settings and have the opportunity to get involved in local projects, experience different examples of community development projects and learn about the history of community work, policy and the diversity of communities.

Standard entry
- All applicants Admissions requirements can be found at the Murdoch Courses page. Further information on Admissions pathways for Murdoch can be found in the Admission Pathways. Applicants with Vocational Education and Training (VET) study Completed VET qualification of Certificate IV or above. Applicants with work and life experience STAT is accepted for entry. Elements considered: Written English and either Verbal or Quantitative Mature Age Pathway - An interview and portfolio submission is available to applicants who do not meet Entry Requirements through previous study but who feel they have relevant work and life experience.
