This course provides students with theoretical foundations, beginning therapeutic skills and first self-reflective clinical practice proficiency in counselling.
It gives students the opportunity to learn interpersonal competencies, including communication, interpersonal skills, teamwork, self reflection, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
The course is preparatory for those wishing to pursue postgraduate studies in counselling and psychotherapy.

- All applicants University general admission requirements apply. Some courses have special admission requirements which are published against the course entries on the University Future Students website. Applicants with work and life experience STAT is accepted for entry. Elements considered: Written English and either Verbal or Quantitative.
