Standard entry

  • General Admission Criteria does not apply to this course. Other Criteria : Applicants for this course should refer to Clinical Health Sciences and Police Clearances and Working with Children Checks . Detailed information about essential requirements for clinical placements and fieldwork . Criminal record and health screening must be obtained prior to students entering any clinical placement. Students will be required to undertake a Working With Children Check prior to completing a placement in a paediatric setting. Applicants are required to successfully complete a Senior First Aid Certificate or equivalent by the completion of the first semester of the course. Manual handling competency is a requirement for the course. Training is provided in the first year of the course and a refresher course undertaken later in the course. A break of more than two semesters since studying the last clinical unit will result in the last clinical unit studied having to be repeated by the student.
