The Chemistry major provides a core body of knowledge in chemistry and a range of skills necessary for a career in a modern analytical or industrial laboratory. The degree also incorporates specialisation in Analytical and Forensic Chemistry, Biological Chemistry, Geochemistry or Materials Science.

The research focus of an Honours degree provides a pathway for career advancement at a higher level than the base degree.
