Course overview

Urban and regional planners look at whether future land use and development ideas are practical by considering economic, human, political, legal, environmental and aesthetic issues. You will learn to balance the public interest against private interests to improve people’s quality of life and to help build a sustainable future. Students can expect to graduate with a high level of communication skills; knowledge of design, economics and law; good technical skills relating to land use planning; and the ability to demonstrate sound ethical and professional behaviour.
