Course overview

The Bachelor of Commerce will build your business skills and grow your international business outlook. The degree starts with a business core year. Afterwards, you’ll study your selected major, plus additional units, to complete your degree structure.

You’ll benefit from exposure to industry through field trips, internships, practical assignments, guest lectures and networking events. You’ll also develop your decision-making and leadership skills, both of which are essential in a future marketplace.

In your final year, you’ll undertake a Capstone Experience.

Kalgoorlie-based students can complete the Bachelor of Commerce through online units with some units offering study group sessions at the Kalgoorlie Campus, as the cohort grows. As you progress through your degree you can choose to study fully online or do some of your degree at the Curtin Perth Campus.

Through Industry Connection students are given opportunities to experience the real business world. As a Curtin Business School (CBS) student you will have opportunities to connect with successful business and community leaders, helping you gain a competitive edge, with the potential to enhance your professional prospects.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia has partnered with CBS to offer internships to students who have completed 200 credits or more of their business degree, these internships are for course credit and provide real-world exposure to our students.

  • All applicants General Admission Criteria do not apply to this course. Refer to Curtin's Portfolio website for details. Applicants with work and life experience STAT is not required for this pathway however may be used to demonstrate English competence requirements.

If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package.
